Frequently Asked Questions

Ombré powder brows, also known as ombré shading, is a semi-permanent makeup method of shading by depositing permanent makeup pigment under the dermal layer of the skin to perfect the brow shape and color. The result is a gradient effect on the eyebrows, giving them a soft powdered look.

Nano machine hairstrokes involve the use of a digital device with a fine needle to implant pigment into the skin to create realistic hairstrokes. This method allows for greater control and precision compared to traditional microblading. The needle used in nano machine hairstrokes is much smaller than the microblading blades, resulting in even finer and more delicate hairstrokes. Nano machine hairstrokes are suitable for all skin types, including oily skin, and less invasive than Microblading.

Semi-permanent brows are perfect for clients who love convenience! If you find yourself filling in your brows every day, then this may be the perfect solution for you. Depeding on your request, we can opt for a more natural look or something bolder. During the in-appointment consultation, we will learn each client’s desired results, the client’s brow goals, and educate them along the way with her professional opinion.

Your appointment can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. We never rush our work and ask that you plan your day accordingly. Touchup appointments are usually quicker.

The healing process can take up to 2 weeks. It will take additional time to see the full-color potential since an average skin cycle takes around 3 weeks to complete. The true healed color may take up to 5-6 weeks to reveal. Immediately after your scabs come off, it may look like your brows did not retain color –  this is referred to as the Ghosting Stage. Because your brows have freshly peeled off their scabs and you are mid-skin cycle, you will have to wait for the color to reappear.

Absolutely. Our custom experience relies on your feedback and acceptance of your personalized eyebrow design. During the mapping process, we will map your brows using a series of techniques that ensure natural results. Clients will get to see their brow shape before the tattoo portion of their appointment and both the client and tattoo artist will make adjustments accordingly. The tattoo does not start until clients approve of their shape and color swatch.

For first-time clients, semi-permanent brows are usually a two-step process. We recommend that all clients expect at least two sessions for amazing results because unexpected pigment loss can happen. Every client accepts pigment and heals differently. We can always add pigment (not take away) so depending on the first session, some clients may want a more conservative, lighter healed result and add more boldness in a touchup session after they see how their brows heal.

Usually after an initial session plus one touchup session, your brows are good to go! Semi-permanent brows can last anywhere from 1-3 years. Your touchups in the future should be scheduled to maintain your desired color. Inevitably, your brows will fade from sun exposure, life style factors, skin regimen/skin products, etc. After about a year, clients will notice some fading in their brows. When they have faded and you are ready to darken your brows again, then it is time for a touchup. Some clients may notice significant fading after one year while others may have to wait two-three years. Contact us if you are unsure if you need a touchup session.

We offer a complimentary touch up within 6–8 weeks of your initial appointment with Rani V Beauty. After that, we charge a fee for annual color boosts.

These brow procedures may last 1 to 3 years for most people before you need a touch up. This can vary depending on the skin type and how you take care of the treated area.

All supplies used in the implantation of pigment into the skin (e.g., needle, cartridge) are pre-sterilized, single-use, and discarded after each session. All other equipment is thoroughly disinfected and sanitized. Gloves are constantly changed during appointments and between clients to avoid cross-contamination. Rani V Beauty artists are all Bloodborne Pathogen certified.

Most clients report little to no pain (1 or 2 on the pain scale of 1-10).  Many clients even fall asleep! Topical anesthetic is applied during the procedure so the client can feel at ease while receiving the treatment.

All clients need to understand that their healed results rely on both the artist and the client.  How well the client follows precare and aftercare instructions directly reflects upon their healed results. Please see more information on Precare, Aftercare, and What To Expect.

If you got your brows done somewhere else, your session with us will be considered a coverup/correction. It is near impossible for us to replicate the same technique, pigment, or shape of your previous artist (nor do we want to in some cases).

Not every client is suitable for a coverup/correction appointment. Please send pictures of your brows via email to ranivbeauty@gmail.com or a direct Instagram message @ranivbeauty to begin our discussion. Coverup/correction clients require approval prior to booking.
